I am directed by His Excellency the Governor

to convey to you the thanks of this Government for the very able manner in which you have discharged the duties of Attorney- -General during the absence on leave of Hon. Mr. Rees Davies.

His Excellencyfully realizes the arduous nature of the work which has devolved upon you more especially in connection with the unusual number of ordinances passed during the year and he regards it as fortunate that the post of Attorney-General snould have been occupied during the past nine months by a barrister whose work has been both rapid and

accurate.
